My Idea Of Heaven

My teacher assigned a task to compose a descriptive article about my idea of heaven and I got a bit stuck. I couldn’t imagine any notions about it so, I kept solving puzzles and learning. Trying to write something underneath the title of the descriptive writing I was assigned to write. Days passed and a billion stars exploded once again; singing in infinite patterns. The darker the night, the more candied the song becomes. I laid in bed, staring at the ceiling. “Heaven..” I whispered to myself.

Red roses gently embraced the walls built of stones of varying sizes and shapes, each one unique. Everything there was like a bright shade of green, there were mushrooms of a bright shade and trees that seemed to even smile. Little creatures flying around. What I’d like to call ‘fairies’. Why not? Heaven doesn’t exist either. The ground was sturdy and strong, as if those who built were set on perfection; and they must really love what they made. The crystalline lake. So pure and clean that would wash off all the sins.

To the right of the lake there was a tree of a colossal size, there were so many colorful flowers giggling, getting flirted with by small hummingbirds. The butterflies growing jealous. Some were blushing, getting kissed by bumblebees. It was an astonishing sight. They are astonishing. Born to take whatever comes their way and make beauty out of it. It looked magical.

The sky was colored a very ravishing pink. There were very few clouds covering the sky, but they were enough to make it even more appealing. Some of the creatures came with flutes and began to play beautiful melodies, some sang, their voices were like those of angels, some laughed and danced, it was delightful. The creatures had pointed ears and a white complexion that looked like porcelain, they wore colorful dresses and matching shirts and pants.

"What’s your idea of heaven?” my teacher once asked me. I solved numerous puzzles and learned so many new lessons, to finally get the answer. I finished the last sentence of the assignment and sighed. It felt as if I fell into a hole, and that brought me to my imagination. Happiness swelled inside my chest. It was truly ethereal. My idea of Heaven.
